French philospher Jacques Derrida was born in French Algeria July 15th, 1930. His works have since become renowned throughout various fields, including politics and other means of social science. Derrida's work within linguistics is commonly cited, as his theories developed the philosophical and literary analysis known as Deconstructionism. Derrida's theories of Deconstructionism can be seen within his many of his writings, most famously Speech and Phenomena (1967), Of Grammatology and Writing and Difference.
